Liam Leahy
Liam Leahy is the Technical Assistance Director at OEP. Liam manages the global portfolio of technical assistance projects that enable Ocean Energy Pathway’s mission.
Liam has over 16 years of experience in the wind energy sector. His experience has seen him part of the development team that consented Hornsea Project One while simultaneously project managing Hornsea Project Two. From 2019 – 2022, he worked at the Carbon Trust serving as Programme Manager for ORJIP Offshore Wind whilst also providing offshore wind expertise to technical assistance projects under various FCDO funded programmes such as the Low Carbon Energy Programme in South East Asia. In his previous role, he was Director – New Business at Fred. Olsen Seawind, establishing the processes for new market exploration and entry that allowed him to investigate numerous global offshore wind markets.
When not working to accelerate offshore wind, you’ll find Liam exploring hiking trails or trying to improve his golf game. While he has been in the renewable energy industry for 16 years, his experience with energy systems actually began much earlier, since the age 10, but that’s a story best shared over a coffee.
