Dr Charles Ogilvie OBE is the Executive Director and a Co-Founder of OEP. Since the start of 2023, he has led the organisational design and build, working with the senior team and OEP’s governance board to secure scale up of funding and to shape policies, processes, and priorities during a phase of rapid growth.

Charles comes from a background as a strategist and entrepreneur working in the energy and climate sectors. As Director of Strategy for COP26 at the UK Cabinet Office, he had a key role in delivering the UK’s successful COP Presidency. He joined the Cabinet office following on from his role leading on climate and energy policy as a Special Advisor in the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy during the period that Britain became the first country in the G7 to legislate for Net Zero, and agreed a landmark sector deal with the Offshore Wind Industry.
