Marine conservationist Alasdair Harris brings two decades of experience of integrating community-led conservation with climate resilience strategies, rejuvenating marine ecosystems and bolstering livelihoods for coastal communities.
Prior to his current role with the Ocean Resilience and Climate Alliance (ORCA), he was the founding Executive Director of Blue Ventures, an organization dedicated to rebuilding tropical fisheries with coastal communities.
Al holds a PhD in coral reef ecology and an honorary doctorate of science from the University of Edinburgh. His work has earned widespread acclaim, including as a TED fellow, a National Geographic Explorer, and winner of the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship.
