Powering progress
Our goal: Support emerging wind markets in unlocking their offshore wind potential to help achieve the global goal of 2 terawatts of installed capacity by 2050.
Our impact: Build the foundations for clean energy systems that deliver jobs, investment, and energy resilience.
Our vision: A world where offshore wind powers economies, protects nature, and strengthens communities.
Ocean Energy Pathway accelerates global offshore wind growth through programmes which support the energy transition, enhance marine ecosystems, and empower local communities. We provide expert, independent support to governments and civil society to fast-track high ambition offshore wind energy.
Through collaboration and engagement with leaders in policy, industry, and ocean stewardship, we support the development of an offshore wind sector that is sustainable, resilient and delivers lasting value for communities, economies and ecosystems.
OEP positions the blue economy and impacts on nature at the heart of its work. Offshore wind can coexist and enhance ocean life and local prosperity, acting as a driver for a thriving, sustainable blue economy.
OEP is made up of in-country and sector experts from around the world, with specialists in renewable energy, marine sciences, project management, reporting, policy change and more. Headquartered in the UK, we’re a rapidly growing team dedicated to advancing nature-positive offshore wind around the world.
Where we work
We’re a global organisation working in markets with significant growth potential in offshore wind, where we can make the biggest difference in reducing carbon emissions and providing socio-economic benefits.
Nearly half of all offshore wind installed worldwide in the next ten years will be in this region, with several new offshore wind markets opening up. We have dedicated programmes in Australia, India, Japan, the Philippines, and South Korea, with ongoing projects in Vietnam.
Latin American markets are increasingly looking at offshore wind to spur green industrial growth, prompting governments to improve their policies. We have dedicated programmes in Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
Our team
OEP is composed of diverse sector and subject matter experts with expertise in offshore wind, nature and biodiversity, project management, and much more based in sites around the world.
